Equally beautiful throughout the year, the Dayara Bugyal Trek covers an astonishing area of 28 km and is among the highest and largest meadows, which attracts hundreds of tourists and trekkers from all over the country. One can witness magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks like Mt. Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, Jaonli, Srikanth, and the Gangotri group of peaks.

The hike to the Dayara Bugyal Trek starts from a small village called Raithal, which is 30 km from Uttarkashi. The hike to Dayara Bugyal is 8 km and is of easy to medium grade. The Dayara Bugyal Trek trail passes through thick coniferous forests and then opens to a vast grassland i.e., Dayara Bugyal. Day 1 :

Drive from Dehradun to Raithal Village

Your journey begins from Dehradun with a scenic drive towards Raithal, a peaceful Himalayan village located in Uttarkashi district. The route passes through beautiful mountain roads, rivers, pine forests, and charming villages.

As you reach Raithal, enjoy stunning views of snow-covered Himalayan peaks and traditional mountain culture. After check-in at the homestay or campsite, relax and prepare for the trekking adventure ahead.

Day 2 :

Raithal to Gui Campsite

The trek begins with a gradual climb through dense oak, maple, and rhododendron forests. The peaceful forest trail offers fresh mountain air and occasional openings with beautiful valley views.

As you ascend higher, the forest slowly opens into wide alpine meadows leading to the beautiful Gui campsite. Surrounded by forests and Himalayan peaks, the campsite offers a magical mountain camping experience.

Day 3 :

Gui to Dayara Bugyal and Return to Raithal

Today is the most exciting day of the trek as you hike towards the stunning Dayara Bugyal meadow. The trail gradually opens into vast rolling grasslands surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks.

Spend time exploring the breathtaking meadows and enjoying panoramic views of Bandarpoonch, Black Peak, Draupadi Ka Danda, and other Himalayan ranges.

After soaking in the beauty of Dayara Bugyal, descend back towards Raithal.

Day 4 :

Raithal to Dehradun

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Dehradun. Drive back through scenic mountain roads carrying unforgettable memories of the Himalayas, peaceful forests, and the breathtaking meadows of Dayara Bugyal.
